For Your Leisure

Our main building houses the game room with pool table, ping pong, puzzles, and table games; two assembly rooms with big-screen audio visual capabilities; four common porches and five parlors for rocking and visiting. Crafts, activities and painting classes are also part of the fun. A beauty/barber salon, card shop, and assembly room are all conveniently located near the dining room and private dining room. The library boasts a sunny reading alcove and over 4,000 volumes, plus videos and periodicals. A large assembly room on the third floor - The Upper Room-will seat over 100 people for activities and programs.

Five smoke-free guest rooms are available at a competitive rate for the convenience of your family and friends while visiting. For those who love to work in the soil, a limited number of grow-boxes are also available. If you like working with wood and tools, you'll love our workshop.

There are many places on our campus to stroll and sit, including our garden park, which includes shuffleboard, croquet, bean bag toss, ring toss, and a lovely gazebo in the center, where a quaint bridge crosses a small pond that boasts a relaxing waterfall.

Our enthusiastic Activities Director plans wonderful excursions along with fun and informative in-house programs.

Living a long, healthy life is largely tied to lifestyle factors, and diet is one of the most important! Our experienced Dietary Staff enjoy preparing an array of healthy, yet very tasty vegetarian dishes for residents to enjoy daily. You'll feel great about your dining experience at FPI!

	FPI is on the campus of Fletcher Academy, a Seventh-Day Adventist boarding school. Because of this, we have the unique opportunity of employing many students from the academy to work in all areas of our community. Young people help to lift the residents' spirits as they serve in the kitchen, dining room, and housekeeping, along with assisting in construction, building and grounds maintenance. There is something special about having academy students serve you! Their youth and vigor bring back fond memories, and their enthusiasm will always brighten your day.
